Investing in Bitcoin with Kids - An EXTREMELY Brief Guide

This guide is simple ... simple ... simple.  Plus it solves a legit problem and it's FREE!

My name is Matt and I have two kids, ages 8 and 11.  I'm a real person (not an AI bot) and live in good old Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

I'm also a huge fan of Bitcoin and believe that Bitcoin is the future of money.  I wanted to figure out a way to teach my kids about investing in Bitcoin using dollar-cost averaging and help them to develop the habit of regularly investing.   

Here are the problems I faced:

• Kids generally can't get their own financial accounts so I couldn't set them up with an account on say River, or Swan, or Strike.
• The amounts of money they are able to invest each week is just a few dollars making it prohibitively expensive to do on-chain transfers to their own Bitcoin wallets.  I needed a solution where I could make small (<$10) BTC transfers to their accounts with little or no fees.
• As a single dad, I needed to be sure that if something happened to me, that the Bitcoin would not be lost forever and would get to my kids.  In other words, non-custodial wallets with seed phrases were not a viable option.

My solution:

Create ONE single account with ONE singe financial institution and write to their support team and ask them to implement ONE feature that is not standard on the app. (This is the key to this whole system and when I figured it out ... I was PSYCHED!!)

What this guide will not cover ...

No history of Bitcoin here.  I'm guessing you're familiar with the fact that Satoshi Nagamoto created Bitcoin and then ... VANISHED!  I'm also not going to try to convince you that Bitcoin is the future of money and may be what brings the world back from the inflationary spiral that we've been in ever since the United State left the gold standard.  It will ... but I'm assuming you already know that.

This guide will only cover the essentials needed to get you and your kids up and running investing and learning about Bitcoin together.
